Different Ways to Heat Your Bathroom

Due to the practicalities of a bathroom and the need for endurance and to be waterproof, you can find that this is the room in the home that can lack that cosy, warm feel to it. There are, however, many different ways to heat your bathroom to create welcoming warmth for those cold mornings and dark nights.

A simple, but highly effective accessory is a towel warmer. This not only creates heat simply for your towels but also for the entire room with many coming in freestanding forms, as well as wall mounted. More advanced units are radiant heat systems and these circulate hot water to ensure a warm temperature throughout the room which is quick and reliable. Depending on your budget and preferred size and type of the towel warmer you could pay as little as a few pounds or thousands. Similar to the towel warmer is a heated robe hook, which has the same functionalities but is positioned higher up to allow your robe to remain un-creased while it is gently heated.

A heated toilet seat is a luxury, providing a warmed perch for those icy mornings. At the highest end of the market a heated toilet seat will set you back thousands of pounds and has added capabilities such as warming your feet and playing your pre-selected music whilst you ‘go’. For more realistic options you can buy heated seats that attach to your existing toilet, this will warm you as well as give off continual heat within the room.

Moving away from the toilet and to the bath itself you can explore the option of having a tub with a heated liner. This will provide extra heat when in use and help to melt away the tensions of the day with the option of a heated backrest. If your budget will allow, the perfect way to heat up your bathroom continually is to have a heated floor. This provides warmth when our feet are at their coldest and can be seen as a very worthwhile investment. This is because many will have the function of automatic temperature control to ensure your floor will not overheat but will maintain pleasant warmth when desired.

You could also go for something unique and consider the installation of a fireplace. Many years ago every bathroom had a fireplace but this fashion has long gone to be replaced with bulky, unattractive metal radiators. A fireplace will omit an incredible cosy feel whilst being the focal point of the room, imagining relaxing in the tub after a hard day and watching the flames flicker; surely the ultimate in bathroom comfort.
