Where to put your freestanding bath

In most bathrooms the bath is in the corner of the room, running along the side of one of the walls. This is not a chance fixing of a bathtub. The reason that baths are in the corners is that it is the most efficient use of space in a room, bathrooms are usually small with limited space and so making sure fixtures are situated in the most ideal positions is a must, meaning more space can be created where there isn’t any. The bath surround hides all the plumbing that is required for a bath.

You need to make sure that you plan your design, doing this on paper before hand will mean that the design will reflect what you want rather than what you may get. You do not want to be disappointed. Sometimes rehanging a door may help the room and where you want your bath to go. You should always think of where the pipes are and how to stop pipes from being exposed. If cost is an issue, make sure that you plan ahead and gather as much information as you can and as many prices too. Also it is best to consult a plumber on whether the pipes in your home will be able to be hidden well enough. You do not want to get half way through your project and come to a standstill, or worse still, complete it and find you don’t like the look!
