With spring around the corner busy bees will be thinking about spring cleaning. Perhaps you may want to think of giving your bathroom a bit of a face lift or take it up a notch in there!
There are number of ways you can do this without it necessarily meaning you have to sell your soul in order pay for it! Getting a new plant can be a simple way of adding a bit of colour and a lovely odour to your bathroom. Hyacinth is a good one at this time of the year as it blooms in the winter and it smells amazing.
Paint and Polish
Also, just by simply giving your bathroom a good going over with the Cif or bleach can work wonders, and taking it one step further, a lick of paint in a brighter colour or a totally different colour and painting the radiators and cupboards can brighten it up 100% without costing too much.
Anything newly painted just looks fantastic when it’s done right!
Of course, if you change the whole colour of the bathroom you will have to change the accessories, the bath mat and shower curtain so it is colour co-ordinated (unless everything you have is a neutral colour)! But new towels and mats aren’t too expensive and can add that extra touch.
Change your lighting
How about looking for a new light fitting or light bulbs. You can now get bulbs that subtly change colours slowly in calming tones and colours. These can work wonders to update your bathroom and you don’t even have to change the fittings with that option. Imagine, you could soak in a lovely bubble bath with all those calming lights soothing you and easing all the worries of your day away.
Lastly, if you have quite a bit of money to spend, you could really take it up a few notches and get a new bath and/or basin – the whole hog. Re-tile and paint, change the light fittings and have a completely new bathroom this Spring. You could even change the whole room into what is becoming quite popular – a “wet room”. A new bath could make more space if you choose one of the new slim line ones, or you could change it to a corner bath if your bathroom allows with jets and power shower if you wish! There are so many options out there. If you’re planning a full new bathroom, you could even choose a theme to complement your new bathroom suite and turn your bathroom into a rainforest theme spa!
